Growing up, David was into all sports but soon realized his favorite was basketball, which became his main focus and passion. As he explains, "I loved how basketball challenged me in every aspect of my life: mentally it taught me how to make quick and right decisions; physically, it conditioned my body, disciplined my eating habits and helped built my endurance;emotionally, it helped built my character."
David attended Memorial High School (in his hometown of West New York) where he received the opportunity to showcase his basketball skills then went on to play for Bergen Community College. At BCC, David deloped leadership skills and was a contributing factor in the team's reach to the finals. Throughout his basketball years, David realized that he needed to get stronger to keep up with other players, and thus decided to join a gym. Under the mentorship of trainers, he learned about strength training, nutrition and boxing. He was able to quickly learn the basics of training and implemented his knowledge to help others that he saw struggling. David believes that it was a Divine purpose that he became a personal trainer. Today heis a full time NASM certified personal trainer/kickboxing instructor.
For the amount of time that David has been instructing, he's been able to demonstrate great energy, creativity, focus, and passion, which has developed his reputation of bringing intense and effective workouts. He has been able to train teens (with a passion for basketbal), a Mountain Climber (which climbed Anconcagua 23,000ft), teachers, upcoming writers, entrepreneurs and even helped slow down the effcts of Parkinson's disease for a client with this disease. At CKO WNY, David teaches the Saturday morning ABS class and a few other adult classes.
David's Goal: "To help as many people as I can, it’s a blessing."
