After my second child I went from 160lbs to 185lbs. I lost the baby weight after giving birth, but after becoming a nursing student I slowly started gaining the weight back. In the summer of 2010 I decided to take control of my weight gain. I started out in September 2010 weighing 180lbs and wearing a size 10. This is the biggest size I had ever reached in my 31 years! I decided to join a gym and shed 10 pounds over a month but just didn’t feel motivated to go workout as my weight loss hit a plateau and I wasn’t too sure of which exercises or machines to use. I heard about CKO Kickboxing from a dear friend, became a member and start taking classes 1-2 times a week. Each instructor has their own unique style, which allows your body to workout different muscles. The staff at CKO West New York are so helpful and friendly.
In the back of my head I thought "Man I'll never look as good as I did in my early 20's" but after seeing CKO West New York instructor Carmen's success story it inspired me to "GET ADDICTED" and I started going 3-4 times a week for the past two months as I knew if she can do it, it's actually possible for me to be thin again. Through hard work and perseverance you can achieve your weight loss goal if you truly want it.
I am now 155lbs wearing a size 7!
I haven’t reached my weight loss goal but it is now close in reach!
